Lauren E. Scholarship Guidelines and Rules
The Lake Shore Lightning appreciates all sincere interest in the Lauren E. Scholarship that provides financial assistance to deserving students interested in continuing their education. The scholarship will be granted to well-rounded students with financial need and with the personal and academic qualifications who have the potential to succeed in the chosen career.
The Lauren E. Scholarship provides $1000 for one academic year for full-time undergraduate study at a public or private college or university or a community college with a program transferable to an approved program.
The scholarship recipient must be a graduating senior, submit a copy of the acceptance letter from an accredited college and begin in the fall term of the award year.
The Scholarship Committee may wish to personally interview applicants, whereupon a mutually convenient date and time will be arranged. The Committee hopes the selected recipient will honor the responsibility and privilege of the scholarship in both spirit and deed. Recipients are also encouraged, but not required, to periodically update the committee regarding their collegiate progress and achievements.
